The client had chosen the cabinet supplier, cabinet type and contractor.  What was needed was help with lighting and overall design continuity.  The challenge was to take all the individual pieces, the cabinets, the lighting, and the finishes and bring them together to form a cohesive design.  Proportion and scale were used to make the new kitchen feel like it had always been a part of the existing home.  The entrance to the kitchen from the living area was redesigned to match openings elsewhere in the home.  The travertine throughout the home was extended into the kitchen.  Lighting design, construction documents, engineering, flooring selection, wall colors and coverings, as well as shelving and layout options were all part of this project.
