The Free Green voting has completed and we were not chosen to be in the top twelve. It was really fun, and we greatly appreciated everyone who supported us.

Our general posting rule is, “It doesn’t matter what it is, we just need to think it is cool”. Cool to us is, well-designed, current, modern, smart, among other things. This is why we post items not only from the architecture and design world, but also from music, movies, cycling, etc. This week’s entry – some really well done coffee videos.

We came across these little art house style films about syphon coffee and pulling the best cup of espresso. The first two videos were done by Intelligentsia, a coffee house that started in Chicago and now has numerous locations including Venice, CA. Intelligentsia follows the beans from the fields to the cup with every step being scrutinized to the degree of perfection. The last video talks about Intelligentsia’s beginnings and use of fair trade coffee growers. Enjoy the videos and if anyone would like to send us a bag of Black Cat Espresso, we would gladly accept. Grab a cup of your favorite coffee drink and enjoy the first day of spring.
