Mackoul Distributors is a family-owned distribution company providing food and paper products to numerous convenience stores and restaurant chains in the southeast.  The reason for the facelift was due to the start of a new division within Mackoul Foods.  Mackoul Foods would now service higher end, independent restaurants and chains.   The client wanted the offices to feel fresh and modern to help show restaurateurs and restaurant owners that come in, that Mackoul Foods spoke their language.  The building exterior has a mid-century modern feel so that was brought inside.  The office has no exterior windows so lighting and color were even more important than usual.  The goal of this project was to not only provide the client with what they needed, but to also give the employees a comfortable and efficient environment to work in.  None of the structure was changed in this project, but the space was transformed with lighting, color, and furnishings.  New T5 high output fluorescent lighting fixtures, ergonomic chairs and keyboard trays have lead to an increase in productivity.   The client says that his employees not only dress differently, but they also act differently in the space.
