We were finally able to get out and take a few pictures of our latest finished consulting project, Two Blondes and a Guy Salon, located in Jacksonville, Florida.

The client’s goal was to present themselves as a high end salon without alienating existing clients. The salon is presented in a high end manor with a warm inviting appeal. The task was accomplished by using clean lines and classic modern lighting mixed with warm inviting colors and textures, such as the worn wood floor. The George Nelson Bubble Lamps double as the main lighting and the sculptural pieces of the salon, while the track lighting highlights specific work areas as the actual fixtures disappear into the matching ceiling.

The design of the main space was set up on a very specific grid, so there is an illusion of space that takes place in the reflections in the mirrors. The mirrors appear to be transparent while adding a visual extension to the space. Mirrors are a very economic way to make small spaces appear much bigger than they actually are.

Two Blondes and a Guy is committed to providing a relaxing welcoming environment where the client’s needs are the number one priority and their visit with us will be a pleasant, memorable experience. In order to ensure this attention has been paid to the smallest of details.

This attention to detail was also carried over into the design of the salon’s logo. With our recommendation, Brown Dog Creative was able to produce a logo that was modern, yet playful, reflective of the identity that the Client sought for their new salon.
