The Urban Facelift Project – Our first two independent submissions

Submitted by greg on June 11, 2009 – 2:09 pm5 Comments

When we first started doing the Urban Facelift Project, our hope was that we would eventually get submissions from individuals outside of content design group.  Below are the first two independent submissions we have received, each by a different individual:

937 main street

The first UFP we received from an individual is from Jeremiah Russell with R. Dean Scott, Architect, Inc.  We previously did this facelift and Jeremiah decided it would be a good one to get his feet wet on.  Jeremiah has told us he is working on a couple in Riverside and we look forward to seeing those.

The second UFP we received was from David Welch with Jaxscene.  David picked a nice project just off of Union not to far from UFP #1.  The rendering does a nice job of incorporating  a retail street presence  with the possibility of loft living above.  Thanks David and we look forward to future submissions.

Awesome! The Urban Facelift Project is such a great idea and I’m glad to see others submitting projects. I might have to do one as well.

Thanks for putting mine up Greg. David, great job. I love the signage opportunity on the side of the building. nice touch. These are great little projects that allow for some quick creativity and to show people what an old crappy building COULD be with just a little love.
